Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and how to opt out. Effective October 6, 2026.
This policy explains what information Incubator Guide (incubatorguide.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum: the site has no user accounts, no comments and no advertising networks.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are read most, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and processes your IP address to produce these statistics. We see the results only as aggregate traffic reports; we do not use them to identify individual visitors.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works normally without them.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address on our own server. We use it only to send the newsletter: short emails when we publish a new guide or re-check incubator recommendations. We don't share your address with anyone else or use it for any other purpose.
To unsubscribe, reply to any newsletter email and ask to be removed. We will delete your address from our list.
Amazon affiliate links
Some pages link to products on Amazon through the Amazon Associates program, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. If you click one of these links, you leave our site, and Amazon may set cookies in your browser to record that the visit came from us. Anything you do on Amazon, including purchases, is governed by Amazon's own privacy notice. We don't receive your name, address or payment details from Amazon.
Fonts and other resources
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send requests to Google Fonts or other font services. Apart from Google Analytics, our pages do not load third-party trackers, social media widgets or advertising scripts.
We don't sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, and we don't share it for advertising purposes.
Children's privacy
Our guides are used by families and classrooms, but the site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The only personal information we collect directly is a newsletter email address. If you believe a child under 13 has subscribed, reply to any newsletter email and we will delete the address.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and change the effective date below. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the newsletter.
Your choices
- Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser.
- Newsletter: subscribing is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter email.
- Affiliate cookies: you can use the site without clicking any Amazon link, or clear Amazon cookies in your browser afterwards.
